FIRA
FIRA aims to support its members’ businesses, add value to their products and processes and improve their bottom line performance. FIRA membership is open to all sectors of the UK and international furniture supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and specifiers.
BCFA
The British Contract Furnishing and Design Association (BCFA) is the trade association representing the UK contract furniture and furnishings industry. The BCFA’s aim is to bring together designers, manufacturers and contract furnishers and to inform the architect, specifier and interior designer of the wide range of products and services available. The BCFA's membership totals over 250 companies covering contract furniture, fabrics and soft furnishings, wallcoverings and finishes, carpets and floorcoverings, lighting, bedding,bathroom fittings, art, accessories and other specialised goods and services.
OFAS
OFAS was founded in 1987 and has evolved into the leading resource in its field. OFAS is a membership organisation offering detailed and impartial information on all aspects of office and contract furniture and related subjects, and is funded by the members it serves.
OFAS also provides impartial consultancy services for specific office and contract furniture related projects - usually for facilities managers and specifiers - who may require assistance with, for example, implementing a furniture audit, advice and recommendations on furniture selection, or guidance on the most suitable procurement process.
CBI
CBI owe their strength to the size and diversity of its membership. They represent 200,000 businesses based in the UK. Membership includes all sectors of business – retail, financial services, construction, utilities, professional firms, manufacturers, agriculture, IT and ebusiness, creative and communications, management, consultancy, transport operators and tourism.
They speak for all sizes of business from multi-national organisations to start-up firms. Approximately 80% of the FTSE 100 companies are CBI members and nearly half of the FTSE 350.
Most of their larger members and many of the medium-sized and smaller ones operate internationally. Membership of the CBI is corporate: organisations and companies are members, not the individuals nominated to represent them.
